The first thing you'll notice about us, is that you don't notice us. That's the thing with Ninjas: we sort of blend with the background, and only our outcomes are noticed.

No starched suits, No stiff upper lip, No flaunting fancy degrees or seeking attention; we're happy to stay in the shadows, and hunt down our quarry, after intensive research, and using the tools of our trade.

That makes us less visible, less loud, less pretentious...and more impactful.

To this end, we use  the following 3 Is to see the problem, and the solution, with greater clarity.

Better Intelligence

We've got our ears wide open, and  to the ground, to ensure we get all our intel from multiple touch points, within the client org, peers, and our sources in the market. By the time we're ready to make our move, we'll have all the information we need about the target, about her life and career, about the competition, and anything else that could influence the search, the conversation, and the conversion.

Better Intuition

A ninja works with information. But succeeds, because of a well-honed intuition that he's developed over time. Very often, hiring becomes a rote function that's slave to method and process, but the truly great hires come from listening to one's gut, and having the courage to follow your instinct. When it comes to a position, or candidate, we'll tell you what we 'think'. But what will make the difference, in our book, is how we 'feel' about that person.  This is something that's still not taught at HBS.

Better Insights

You could have all the information in the world (most Executive Search firms will have access to the same sources), and hire the best research agencies to come up with a hundred observations. But there's something, still, that money can't buy. And that is Insights...the ability to see breaks and burrs in a pattern, to find something odd that others don't see, and not sleeping till you find out why. This ability to sieve information tirelessly, and find the nuggets, is what sets us apart from the rest.

We believe it takes a Ninja to catch a Ninja, and we look for driven individuals who find joy in working under the radar, who make their own road, even as they understand the company culture, collaborate with all, and drive radical change.

It isn’t rocket science to guess that we are not the typical CXO/CEO Search Team. We’re not big (by design), don’t call ourselves 'global' (even if we can execute such mandates), and are proud to be small, nimble, and responsive.
We have a small team, an ecosystem of shadow warriors (Researchers and Senior Search Execs) who work with us, and a crack team of influencers from different sectors, who’re invested in our growth.

The Founders

Neetu Agarwal

Neetu Agarwal

is a hardcore Executive Search professional who's worked in Delhi and Chennai, headed offices of multinational Search firms, and handled top management mandates across IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Auto, and Financial Services. What she brings to the table is a surfeit of energy and experience, married to a deep empathy for the human part of human resources. She understands that her job isn't to get the best CVs but the best people: flesh and blood human beings with their own issues...and who have full lives outside of work. This deep sensitivity, and her love of executing a mandate through every stage, makes her the stabilizing anchor of this venture.

Rajesh Ramaswamy

Rajesh Ramaswamy

has never worked in Executive Search, and that, he believes, is his biggest strength. For a long time he headed the creative function of large, iconic brands across geographies. He then co-founded one of the world's leading Brand Coach Networks, and for more than a decade, he has mentored and advised CEOs and Brand Owners of multiple startups and Enterprises,  on Brands, Marketing, and Leadership. He has worked extensively in the FMCG, Fintech, Healthcare, Hospitality, Political, Media, Real Estate, Cosmetics and Auto industries. His role as a mentor, has allowed him to understand the leader gene better, and suss out what makes them tick, because he's been heavily invested in nurturing and guiding leaders who constantly push the envelope.

There was a time when guys with Mercs, Beemers, and Porsches, at least the ones with adventure in their soul, had a second car, that did the things the first didn't. Or couldn't!

And that was often the funky, dinky, Beetle. It was small. It was compact. It turned heads. And it went where those blue-blooded cars wouldn't care to be seen. It was for the weekends. Or for going off the beaten track. It got you there (wherever 'there' was) and back, often in better shape. It wasn't posh, but it could push the envelope. And would happily get into a ditch (and out) for you, and just shrug off the mud, and paw the ground for the next journey.

It was fun. It was efficient. Mostly, it was fun.

Just like us.

You may be a large enterprise with your old boys' club Search Agency, or a Series E funded startup, with a multinational Search company to flaunt. But you may want to think of us as your Second Agency. Because there will always be places you want to go, to find people who fly under the radar; the talent that doesn't advertise itself, but would happily jump into a Beetle, without worrying about dirtying the Nappa leather.
